One Platform - App and Web

One Platform - App and Web

🚀 Spring 2025 marked a major development milestone for us: we’ve built and launched a new web concept for sports clubs, designed to simplify how they manage both app and website — all in a single solution.

We’re seeing a clear trend: more and more clubs and organizations are actively guiding their visitors from the website to the app. And with good reason.

📱 The App Is the Club’s Most Important Digital Channel

New data shows that app users:

  • Stay 4–6 minutes per session, compared to just 1–2 minutes on the website (an increase of over 300%)
  • Return more frequently – with 50–70% retention in the app, versus 20–30% on the web
  • Convert more often – whether it’s buying tickets, participating in auctions, voting after matches, or engaging with sponsor content

This makes the app a loyalty engine – and a space where clubs can truly build strong relationships with fans and partners.

🌐 Why We Built a Combined Web and App Solution

Until now, many clubs have relied on two separate content management systems: one for the website and one for the app. This leads to duplicated work, fragmented content, and unnecessary costs.

Our solution changes that.

With one unified publishing tool, clubs can:

  • Update both the app and the website at the same time
  • Reduce administration and maintenance
  • Smartly control content – non-essential web content can be app-only
The new responsive website covers the essentials: news, match info, standings, and sponsor profiles – with clear calls to action to continue the experience in the app.

🔁 From Web Visits to App Usage: What Works?

Clubs that succeed in moving users from web to app often have the following in place:

Smart App Banner

– A dynamic banner at the top of the website that prompts app download

Dedicated App Landing Page

– Highlighting app features, with links to the App Store / Google Play and screenshots

App-Exclusive Benefits

– Early access to campaigns, fan competitions, or loyalty rewards

QR Codes

– On websites, posters, tickets, and kiosks for easy app download

Single Sign-On (SSO)

– Let users log in once – for both web and app

🧭 What Does This Mean for Clubs?

For clubs, it means better user experience, less administration, and more value from the content they already produce. It allows them to focus on what truly matters: engaging supporters and creating value for partners.

With our OnePlatform solution, you no longer have to choose between app or web. You get both – seamlessly integrated – with all the insights and tools you need to succeed digitally.
